My roommate of the last 8 months if from Egypt, here on a student visa. He has talked about becoming a citizen and he likes a girl here. If he were to marry her, how long would it be before he got a green card? And how long would he have to remain married to her?
I don’t think it’s instant.. I’ve heard of ppl having to prove how they met so that immigration doesn’t think it’s just for citizenship.
He’s here getting his MBA, but it could take up to 3 more years. On a student visa he is not allowed to work, so he has to live off what his dad gives him.
It’s not me that wants to marry him! My cousin has said she’d marry him for 25k though lol

My Grandfather has been in the USA for 7 months, with a green card and he has an eye infection. He needs surgery, and will be coming back to my house. I’m going to take him to the hospital, in emergency and see what they say. Will they offer him any financial aid? He’s over 65 and has had a few coronary bypasses, so what is going to be the procedure for him?

my parents would like to visit my bro in Canada for a couple of months. They are waiting for US green card and have already had Advance Parole. Do they still need Canadian visa to enter Canada?

I’m currently waiting for my green card. I have had my biometrics, have my EAD and Advance Parole. I filed my I485 at the end of March. On my EAD card I have an A##### number. I’ve heard this A###### number goes on to become my green card number. If so, does that mean I’m already allocated a green card number? If not, does that mean I have to wait until October when the allocation of green card numbers become available once again?

I’m on a L1 visa/EB1. Thanks.
